Can I use QueryGlow for all my freelance clients?
Yes. QueryGlow is $79 once for unlimited clients and unlimited projects. Use it for Client A's MySQL, Client B's PostgreSQL, Client C's MariaDB: all in one tool, forever. No per-client fees, no project limits.
How do I give clients temporary database access?
QueryGlow is your tool, not a client deliverable. Run it on a small VPS (DigitalOcean or Hetzner), add a connection for the client's database and do the work through your own instance; QueryGlow has one shared login, so there is no client account to hand out. When the project ends, delete the connection or shut down the instance. A client who wants their own QueryGlow buys their own license.
Is QueryGlow safe for client production databases?
Safe Mode is designed for exactly this. It blocks DROP DATABASE always. It blocks DROP TABLE, TRUNCATE and DELETE or UPDATE without WHERE by default. It adds LIMIT 1000 to a read that has none. On a connection marked production, the Query Editor shows the statement and asks before any write runs. Environment color coding makes it visible when you're on production (red) vs staging (amber) vs dev (green).
How do I connect to client servers securely?
QueryGlow has built-in SSH tunnel support. Your client gives you SSH access to their server, you paste your private key into QueryGlow: no terminal setup, no separate SSH clients. Traffic runs encrypted through the SSH tunnel, and the server's host key is pinned on first use. Saved passwords and keys are encrypted with AES-256-GCM, and the installer puts HTTPS in front of QueryGlow.
What if my clients use different databases?
QueryGlow supports 6 databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, SQLite, CockroachDB, and TimescaleDB. One tool handles them all. No more switching between pgAdmin for one client and MySQL Workbench for another.
